6/22 - 6/26 Teens: Advanced Baking - Italian Week + Friday Dinner!
Grades 5th - 8th
Each day we will make and personalize small batches of Italian classics like Focaccia, pasta, Tiramisu, and even Pizza!!!
Students will explore the importance of local ingredients, scratch baking, and natural preservatives, while discussing the science of baking and the roles ingredients play in making our baked goods. While our confections are cooking, we will practice dough kneading, rolling, and forming and playing with different baking techniques. We will end the week by making a Italian side salad and a 16 inch Pizza to finish baking at home for Dinner!
**Students taking advanced baking should have taken a previous baking class or cooking and need a strong understanding of measurements and how to follow a recipe.
- For: Grades 5th - 7th
- Dates: June 22nd - 26th
- Time: 1pm - 4pm
**Parent drop off is between 1pm - 1:15pm.
**Parent pick up is between 4pm - 4:15pm
