What are we doing to keep our students & staff safe in camps & classes?
- All our staff take weekly PCR Tests, wear masks, are vaccinated and boosted!
- We will reduce our class sizes based on the Child Care, Youth Development, and Day Camps During the COVID-19 Outbreak Guidelines and will make adjustments in adherence with CDC guidelines, King County Public Health, the Governor's Office and in collaboration with your school’s policies.
- Parents can use their phones to digitally check their children in and out of classes and camps.
- We ask staff and students to always wear a face covering, except when eating or drinking. We will provide extra PPE for staff and students when needed.
- Frequent hand washing is already built into our schedule. (Students currently wash their hands 5-times throughout our 3-hour camps and classes)
- Students’ stations will be set up to maintain social distancing requirements set by the county and schools.
- During class, students will be given individual portions, supplies, and tools rather than sharing to support a social distancing model. Instructors handing out ingredients to help minimize student’s possible contact with each other’s food. Any shared items or ingredients (like a container of flour) will be disinfected between uses.
- We are adding an extra hour to our staff’s daily schedules to ensure they have enough time to thoroughly clean and disinfect the camp tools, supplies, and all touch points.
- We offer unlimited paid sick leave for employees during the pandemic. We follow a strict policy with our staff, by asking those who are showing any signs, or living with anyone showing any signs of being sick, to stay vigilant and stay home.
- In the event a participant shows symptoms of COVID-19, we will isolate the participant from their cohort, contact the parent immediately for pickup, and we will work with families in sharing results with the school and lead Enrichment Coordinators.
